A Clinical Study on Panic Atrack Onset


Abstract
The authors examined the age places and situation in which the first panic attack occurred. comorbidity of depressive disorder, and frequency of visiting emergency room in 92 panic patients.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) The panic attack was more prevalent in female(68.5%) than male(31.5%) and in the age group of 30s(44.8%).
2) The mean age of the first panic attack was 34.4 years and there was no differences between sexes.
3) In the places and situation in which the first panic attack occured, the panic attack most frequently occured at home. After that, the crowded places and public transportation for male and the public transportation for female were panicogenic
situation in this study.
4) The latent period between the first panic and the first hospital visit was 37.6 months and there was no statistical difference between sexes.
5) The 25% and 41.3% of the panic patients had depressive disorder and visited emergency room.
